It has been a very busy few months for Little Blue House!
I’m now lucky enough to be regularly supplying Craftisan – our great local craft shop and cafe on Wells Road in Bristol, just round the corner from our house. It’s been a perfect place to start supplying, lots of parents and carers pop in for arts and crafts or to take part in some of the great workshops that they run, including things like Lino printing and skirt making (If I didn’t spend all my time baking I’d be attending all of them!!).
Together, over the last couple of months, Craftisan and I have been able to work out which products are popular and I have developed some new goodies that I’ll be showing on the website soon. I’ve kept everything free of refined sugar and added salt so all of the products are suitable for small children and most for babies from as young as 6 months (though I’ve been told plenty of parents have been sampling the products as well!). I can tell you now that the spelt and wholemeal cheese straws have been going down a treat.
As well as my regular deliveries to Craftisan, in September I attended a brilliant new market outside Hart’s Bakery by Temple Meads – hopefully the first of many! (To keep an eye on developments follow @sundayprojectbr on twitter and Sunday Project Bristol on instagram.) The market took place on a crisp sunny day, one of the last of the summer, and was a roaring success with a very exciting range of new and established traders. It was so great to be invited and I was incredibly pleased to sell out of everything… (Next time I will bake a lot more!).
There’s no denying now that autumn is in the air and twinkling on the horizon are the much anticipated fairy lights of Christmas! Watch this space for some new seasonal and festive children’s snacks and possibly a market or two during the festive season.
If you’ve sampled any of my snacks at the market or at Craftisan – thank you so much for your custom! It’s been great to get feedback in order to help develop my range and of course all of your support has been very welcome. I value any feedback so please let me know if you have any to share with me, my email address is on the contact page.
